Weekly Meetings

Crochet Club: will take place every Wednesday at lunch in room 333.  No experience necessary, materials provided.

 

Chess Club: It will be held in room 105 on Wednesdays at lunch. Chess boards are provided, and all skill levels are welcome! See Mr. LeClair if you have any questions.

A reminder to wear your orange shirt on Monday in support of Truth and Reconciliation Day. The last residential school in Canada closed in 1997, only 28 years ago. We wear orange shirts in support of the many children that were taken from their homes.

This year's Terry Fox Run/Walk is this Thursday at 2:30. We want to get the sports teams involved to promote team spirit and create a fun challenge.

We're asking that players proudly wear their uniforms to the event and have as many players participate as possible. Leadership students will have a table set up at the finish line with team rosters so that when athletes finish, their name will be checked off the list for participating. The team with the largest percentage of participation will win a team PIZZA PARTY 🍕!

Terry Fox Run Refreshment Stand: Students from Mr. Haines's homeroom will be operating a refreshment stand before and after the Terry Fox Run. Enjoy a drink with any donation to support cancer research. Every contribution helps honor Terry Fox's legacy!

Holland College Combine: Holland College are offering Grade 12 students who are interested in creating an Athletic Profile the opportunity to obtain credible data through the testing and then meet with Holland College Varsity staff who will be on-site. Students will also be able to chat with SRM and Kin students and staff, as well as enjoy a full Strength and Fitness testing program. The event will take place on Friday, October 17th - 12:30 to 2pm.

All athletes interested in attending must see Mr Barnes asap to reserve a space. Spaces are limited so will be assigned on a first come basis.

Halloween 4 Hunger is starting next week with October, and we need volunteers! You can sign up to help, like making posters, collecting donations, and collecting donations on Halloween night itself! If you’re interested, please come to room 331 on Friday at lunch!

Key Club: Key Club is a student-led organization that encourages leadership, volunteering, and making a difference locally and globally. And all of this is possible while earning bursary hours. Make a difference and join us at our next meeting today at lunch, in room 227.

Envirothon is an outdoors, environment-based competition for high schools across the island held every year in October. We will be having a meeting open to anyone interested in being a part of the Envirothon team this year on Thursday, September 25th at lunch in Mrs. Huggans room, 108. Come down to see what it’s all about if you’re interested!

CRHS Tutor Program   Want to earn extra cash as a tutor or need a tutor for extra help?  Apply to the CRHS Tutor Program in Student Services. We will match tutors and students looking for help. Tutors earn $20/hour.  Please note that tutors must be in grade 11 or 12. Subjects available for tutoring are dependent on the tutors available.

Cross Country: There will be no Cross Country practice today after school as it’s Raider Tailgate! Runners are asked to participate in the Terry Fox event tomorrow to replace today’s run.

Rural Tailgate! This Wednesday, September 24, we will be having a Rural Tailgate to help celebrate our fall sports teams seasons starting! Our AAA Men's and Women's Soccer and Volleyball all have their home openers against the Gray right here at Charlottetown Rural!

Afterschool, there will be Raider spirit face painting, sign making, yard games and a bbq for students to attend before cheering on their Raiders! Both Men's and Women's Soccer teams are up first at 5pm, Women's volleyball at 5:30 pm with the Men's Volleyball to follow at 7pm!

Come to the cafeteria today to buy or rent a vintage Raiders jersey! There are some absolute classics to choose from! Just in time to wear to the Raider Tailgate!

This year, on the 26th of every month, we will be having Raider Days to celebrate this year's class of 2026! Our first of this year is this Friday, September 26th. Wear your Raider gear or school colors to show your Raider pride! A variety of Rural and Grad clothing items are for sale. All orders need to be in by noon on Friday, Sept 26th

Prince Edward Island Legislature Page: Pages are an integral part of the legislative process at the Legislative Assembly.  Applications are available in Student Services. Deadline is Oct 7th.
