Congratulations! Congratulations to the students who participated in the 2025 Charlottetown Rural Poetry Slam last Wednesday. We had 6 participants: Sophie Casford, Lauren Drake, Azriel Lam, Tiantian Liu, Zoe Sharpley, and Grace VanGurp. Special congratulations to our winners: Zoe Sharpley in third place, Tiantian Liu in second place, and Azriel Lam in first place. Special thanks also to our host for the event Eleena Lunn, and our two guest judges Julie Bull and Vanessa Bradley.
University of Toronto will be here on Wednesday, May 7th from 2:00 – 3:10 to meet with students in grade 11 who would like more information on programs, admissions, scholarships etc. Grade 11 students who would like to attend must sign up in Student Services. This presentation will take place in the Lecture Theatre.
The RCMP Recruiting Unit will in the lobby during lunch on Tuesday, May 6th to talk with any students who are interested in a career with the RCMP. Stop by their table for more information.
The Faculty of Medicine at UPEI will be presenting in the Lecture Theatre on Thursday May 8th at 10:45 to any students who are interested. The presentation will include admission requirements (MCAT and Casper), information about the school/program, and what you can do now to prepare (academically and extracurriculars). If you would like to attend the presentation, please sign up in Student services.
Bake Sale: The leadership class is having a bake sale in the student store at lunch, starting at 11 45 Wednesday and Thursday to raise money for the humane society. please stop by if you can, every little bit counts!
Food Drive: The ESAP group is putting on a food drive this week. If you can contribute, please bring a non-perishable food items to room 249.
Safe Drivers PEI: Safe Drivers PEI will begin the next after-school driver education program on Tuesday, May 6th. Classes begin at 3:30 pm in room 306. For more information see the poster in the lobby.
Chess Club: Sign-up for the chess tournament Tuesday, May 6th at lunch in room 200. All players must be signed-up tomorrow to play. The tournament will start on Thursday, May 8th. New players are welcomed!
