Occupational Health and Safety Leadership Program: The Workers Compensation Board is seeking two Gr. 11 or 12 students for its Occupational Health and Safety Leadership Program at our school. Each participant who completes the program could receive up to $800 with a chance to earn more! For more information, go to the WCB website, click on the hard hat, look for Young Workers and then click “Programs, Contest and Awards.” Applications are due January 22, 2025, so find a partner and apply today! Volunteer Opportunity: Charlottetown Ringette Tournament will be held on Thursday January 9-12, 2025. Volunteers are needed for various duties throughout the entire weekend such as minor official duties (game sheet, game clock), providing music (playlist will be provided), bottle cap game, etc. Any student that is interested in volunteering and earning Community Service Bursary hours are asked to contact Nicolle Hogan at nicolle@charlottetownringette.com
Forum for Young Canadians: Youth aged 14 to 18 are invited to apply for the Forum for Young Canadians experience! They'll learn about how decisions are made in Canada, meet Senators, Members of Parliament, and other influential leaders, and gain the tools they need to make a real difference in their communities. UPEI Scholarship Presentation: UPEI will be at Charlottetown Rural on Wednesday, January 8th at 11:00. Students who would like to attend this session must sign up in Student Services. This will take place in the Lecture Theatre.
UNB Scholarship Presentation: UNB will be here on Wednesday, January 15th at 11:00. Students who plan to attend this session must sign up in Student Services. UNB will also meet with new students who are interested in applying to UNB and the application fee will be waived. This will take place in Student Services.
