The leadership class is selling tickets on a beautiful Christmas Gift Basket in support of the Rudolph Campaign! The basket has an estimated value of over $600!
Tickets will be on sale every day at lunch until the draw date of Thursday, December 19th. Leadership students will be walking around with the basket at lunch time selling tickets. The cost is $3 for 1 ticket or $5 for 2 tickets. Please support this great cause, Raiders!
Raidar Newspaper: The December issue of our school newspaper, the Raidar, is out in the library and cafeteria, go and pick up a copy to support our writers!
Occupational Health and Safety Leadership Program: The Workers Compensation Board is seeking two Gr. 11 or 12 students for its Occupational Health and Safety Leadership Program at our school. Each participant who completes the program could receive up to $800 with a chance to earn more! For more information, go to the WCB website, click on the hard hat, look for Young Workers and then click “Programs, Contest and Awards.” Applications are due January 22, 2025, so find a partner and apply today! Applications are in the grade 12 Google Classroom as well as Student Services.
Confederation City Classic Basketball Tournament: will be held from January 8-11, 2025. In order to make this tournament successful, we are in need of volunteers to act as team hosts. As an incentive, if you be able to work 2 games, we will give you a tournament pass for all the games and an invitation to the players social at the Rodd Royalty Inn. Please let Mr. Wynne know by Friday, December 20 if you are interested in volunteering.
Forum for Young Canadians: Youth aged 14 to 18 are invited to apply for the Forum for Young Canadians experience! They'll learn about how decisions are made in Canada, meet Senators, Members of Parliament, and other influential leaders, and gain the tools they need to make a real difference in their communities. We have an Elf named "Story" hiding in the library and changing his hiding spot daily. Make sure to stop into the library and look for 'Story". While you are there you can enter a ballot to win a surprise. The draw will take place before we break for Christmas.
