Paul Trainor Memorial Scholarships
Deadline: May 20, 2021

To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be graduating from a Prince Edward Island High School;
  • Must be attending UPEI or Holland College;
  • Have demonstrated an outstanding sports attitude;
  • Have demonstrated a financial need;
  • Have maintained an average of 65% or above;
  • Must be entering 1st year at a post-secondary institution in the fall of the current year as a full-time student.

PEI Womens Institute Education Scholarship
Deadline: May 31, 2021

Guidelines:

Any applicant, male or female, ages 17-25, residing on the Island and whose mother, grandmother, or guardian is a WI member.
Applicants may be enrolled in any program of choice, in any form of post-secondary institution, but must be enrolled as a full-time student for a minimum of one school year of 28 weeks.
Applications will be judged based on self-motivation, community spirit and need.

Highest marks are not necessary to receive this scholarship.
Applicants may apply yearly for scholarship, but may receive it only one.

Applications should be accompanied by an academic record from school, a personal resume, including a record of previous awards/scholarships, a (25 word essay) on “Women’s Institute in the Community” and any (2) letters of recommendation from a former teacher and a clergy or employer.

The scholarship money will be in the form of a cheque made payable to the recipient and the facility of choice as outlined in #2.

4-H Post Secondary Education Scholarship

MADD Canada Youth Bursary Fund
Deadline: May 31, 2021

Criteria:

MADD Canada’s Bursary Program is open to Canadian citizens who have themselves been severely injured or who have had a parent (or legal guardian) or sibling killed or severely injured as a result of an impaired driving crash and who are enrolled in a full-time, ministry-approved, post-secondary educational program. Injuries must be catastrophic or severe and have had a significant impact on the applicants’ lives. Proof of injury and relation to impaired driving will be required.

ABBVIE IBD Scholarship Program in Support of the Crohns & Colitis Foundation of Canada
Deadline: June 1, 2021

Crohn’s and Colitis Canada awards twenty one-time scholarships of $5,000 to students of any age, living with Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis who are enrolled in a Canadian post-secondary educational institute for the upcoming fall 2021.

Bayer Fund Opportunity Scholarship
Deadline: June 2, 2021

The Bayer Fund Opportunity Scholarship Program is available to Canadian high school students who are enrolled in their final year of high school as of June 2, 2021 and eligible to graduate from high school in 2021. Those eligible for a scholarship must be planning to enroll at a Canadian post‑secondary institution (degree or diploma) in a first-year agriculture, food science or culinary program.

If you have applied for entry into a college or university, but have not yet been accepted, you can still apply for a Bayer Fund Opportunity Scholarship. However, if you are awarded a scholarship, you must provide an acceptance letter from your educational institution.

Successful applicants will each be awarded a scholarship valued at $1,500, based on demonstrated academic standards and leadership in the community. Selection will be made by an independent panel.
